Aelwyn
Town's Guard of Haven
Quiet, resolute, and honorable, Aelwyn was one of the original Town's Guard of Haven. Having been born in the town and grown up there, she found it was her duty to inevitably serve her home as a staunch protector, and so she joined the guard as soon as she could. By the year 1202 ATC, after well over two hundred years serving the town, she remained as one of the handful of survivors to escape death there due to The Great Plague and successive bandit raids that nearly destroyed the town until it stood in ruin by the end of the year. Nevertheless, she and the remaining few guards of the town would continue to try and protect it.
When The Heroes of Romaire returned from The Gray Veil with a vast fortune--enough to bring the town to its former glory and then some--she would continue dutifully protecting it in hope of seeing it blossom into a great town once again. As fate would have it, by 1203 ATC, early the following year, a great assault by The Gravekeeper, his dread Dracolich, and a great army of Plague Striders would befall the town. Aelwyn would proudly serve, helping to defend the East Gate against invaders, being killed in the process while trying to keep the Strider hordes from getting to the Heroes while they dealt with the Dracolich.
Aelwyn would be buried with honors and celebrated, her named engraved upon the memorial stone that would be dedicated to those who helped to defend the town against the Circle of Aima Axio.
