Imperial Calendar
The Imperial calendar is the standard calendar of the Havlic Empire as well as most of Arkodia and variations of it are used in southern Himixia.
The calendar was commissioned in year 30 by High Emperor Igxɔsomipsa and completed around 5 years later. In the Empire before the creation of this calendar, years were calculated from date of the current emperor, for example the Treaty of Sondamia was written 49 years after Emperor Zendaruxos took the throne and in spring so: "Era Zendaruxora, 49th Moon of Dawn's Light". Eras are still named after the current reigning emperor during the time of the High Empire. Before the Empire, each individual culture had their own ways to keep track of time.
One revolution takes around 339 days; this year is divided into 13 months, with one intercalary day (in the Empire) dedicated to mourning Emperor Zɛndaruxos. The year begins in spring. Summer and Winter are longer than the other seasons; Summer begins when Stedzimi passes over Ixomi and Winter begins when Ixomi passes over Stedzimi.
