Crustasi

The Crustasi are an aquatic race that love deep in the depths of ocean. Their use of light magic is of the highest skill and they use this in the depths to attract prey and deter predators. Physically the Crustasi stand about 6 feet tall, with a hard chitinous carapace which provides them with shielding from the immense pressures of the deep. Their thin fleshy membranes are porous and allow for filtering toxins out of the waters that surround them enabling oxygen to reach their lungs. Multiple arms with wing like fins are used to project them through the water as does the powerful tail most have.   Males tend to have more armored carapace and less fins, allowing them to engage in combat with a greater chance of success, whilst females tend to have greater fins allowing them to filter more oxygen when they are gestating eggs in their egg sack.   The Crustasi society ranges from small villages in regional trenches to giant megalopolis in the Great Trench. Politically there are many diverse attitudes, and often a lot of in fighting within their own society.
