Codex of the Infinite Planes
The Codex of the Infinite Planes is an extremely elusive and incredibly dangerous artifact. It is a massive book with pages of a thin metal that resembles lead. The cover is made of an obsidian-like material that appears to be the material of which the crystal spheres themselves are made of. The covers are wrapped in a thick, black reptilian hide from the beast of some extraplanar horror that has been extinct for unknown ages. It is bound by metal latches made from a seemingly indestructible material that resembles bronze and is theorized to actually be tantulhorWherever this spellbook appears, disaster will almost surely follow. The number of people who have found it and avoided being destroyed remains in the single digits, and even fewer have avoided the creation of some arcane disaster due to their actions. It has been used in the creation of spells such as the Necromantic Singularity, the development of a small number of especially powerful mythals, and the powerful spells Seal Crystal Sphere and Breach Crystal Sphere.
