Summer Camp 2020 Overview
Shoutout to Rynn19 for the template! You can find the link to it here.
And here we are! The end of Summer Camp, my first ever time participating. This has been an amazing experience, and a completely crazy one too- I went from having written maybe one and a half articles on World Anvil, to writing 33 articles in the span of a month. How crazy is that! I also got to expand on my back then baby world, and I'm so proud of how much its grown. This Summer Camp really helped me flesh out some ideas, in a way I'm not sure I could've done on my own.
Most surprising (to me!), I actually came out of this with articles being liked and commented on, and craziest of all I've even emerged with a handful of followers. Of all the things I was expecting to happen in July, this was not one of them.
I'm also really glad to have participated as this has given me the chance to meet some really amazing people over on the discord channel. I'd shout out some specific people, but I'm worried I might forget someone which would suck big time. But if we've talked or interacted at any point, you'd probably be included, because everyone here is just so kind and supportive in a way I've rarely seen on the internet.
Average article length is about 790 words per article, which is pretty crazy to me. My favourite article of those I've written is The Eternal Flow.
Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with myself, I wrote a lot more than I expected myself to do. It was a great introduction to worldbuilding (never really done that before summer camp), and I encourage anyone who reads this to participate next year!
