Age of the Supremacy
Chapter 1
"The war with the Dwarves of Gregis secured a reserve of Aether grand enough to allow mankind to spread effortlessly across the world. All resistance was met with blinding flashes of energy, and the thunderous roar of cannons. But, this was far from enough. Since the discovery of Aether, advancements in Alchemical Engineering came effortlessly, and soon Ykaltimorian alchemists discovered a means to synthesize Aether."Chapter 2
"As access to synthetic Aether was made ever easier, access to this technology became more and more common place. Weapons powered by Aether had even found their way in the hands of revolutionaries, and in the hands of the enemies of Denpylian. The savage stronghold of Sarruntas had held the forces of Denpylian back for hundreds of years and had armed itself with all manner of aether-powered weapons, but the Order of Denpylian constructed an answer: the Great Cannon of Denpylian."Chapter 3
"The largest force Denpylian ever mustered, and with the largest cannons ever built, the holy order marched north towards the Atrian Empire. However, they stopped while crossing through the Black Vale. Gigarus, god of order, descended from the heavens and halted the march of Denpylian. He spoke out to the Bishop General Muscari, and gave the confession of the gods. The Order of Denpylian's answer was simple. Great cannons boomed across the battlefield, showering Gigarus in unfathomable energy. The essences of the world were torn asunder. Gigarus, infuriated by this brazen response, retaliated in kind with his armies descending from the heavens to wage war on mankind."Chapter 4
"The cost of victory was far too high. Tens of thousands dead; many more wounded. The essences of life and light, blinding to look at, left rolling across the Black Vale like a great fog smothering the coasts of Denpylian. With the essences of life and light rejected by heaven of earth, they formed an amalgamation of corruption known to us now as the Blight of the Black Vale."Chapter 5
"Emboldened by a righteous victory and fueled by the confession of Gigarus, the forces of Denpylian challenged the pantheon of mankind for the right of ascension. The Order of Denpylian declared the worship of gods a heresy, and spread new teachings across the realms of man."Chapter 6
"The remnants of the pantheon gave mankind an ultimatum. Cease our course of action at once, or live in a wake of destruction. 10 years were given to make our decision, but the outcome was already predetermined. During this time, more and more news came from the far reaches of the world. Strange incidents, inexplicable natural disasters, and worse began to ravage the border territories of the Order of Denpylian."Chapter 7
".. and at once we were abandoned. Left in darkness with unimaginable horrors; only the cannons of Denpylian could illuminate the world if not but for the briefest moment. Great wakes of devastation spread out across the land like fractures across a frozen lake, but these fractures all converged towards the great capital of the Order, Uremas."Document Structure
