Unsatisfied with their current territory holdings, King Dietrich -- the elven consort that the first Escherians followed here from Isseria -- starts a military campaign to take more land for their new nation. With the famously powerful early Escherian clerics at his command, he slays countless tribes and demigods alike in his quest to create a powerful and influential nation.   This military campaign only ended when Dietrich was killed by an unknown assassin. His son Arnest seized the opportunity to set up a more stable society, ending the campaign at the northern bank of what is now known as the Norevell River but not ceding any of the land that they had taken back to the Vibrians. The next several centuries of Escherian history would be very inward-focused, maintaining the minimal army required to defend Escher but spending most of the government's time and attention on developing Escherian society and culture and fostering scientific advancement.
