Amare Tassiade, Archdean of Conjuration
Amare is something of a legend at Crescenscia, where she has been the Archdean of Conjuration for the past 118 years, the second longest tenure of any currently serving Archdean. She is perhaps the most respected wizard at the institution, and every time a new Magus is selected, everyone insists that this time, she will join the tournament and claim her rightful place among the Magi, but she has never entered it.
She is often credited for stopping the Disaster of 1335, summoning a titanic construct to kill the maddened Archdean Zafar after the archdeans of Abjuration and Evocation died trying to stop him.
Amare grew up in Escher as a noblewoman, studying artifice for fun, but when she reached adulthood, she cut off all of her hair in a dramatic gesture and walked from Orbwick to Crescenscia to enroll as a student of wizardry. She very nearly failed out, but was later invited back as a professor after a few years of impressive adventuring.
