Era of Peace

Era beginning/end

An age of peace follows the forming of the GWC. That peace lasted for over one hundred years. Element Zero paved the way for numerous advancements, and drove humanity through this era, and allowed for this era of peace to happen in the first place.

The discovery of Element Zero allowed for wars to stop, and peace to spread. This peace lasted for over a century. Not just because it made conflict not necessary, but now, conflict would destroy humanity. Any war would put the two biggest superpowers, US and Russia against each other. Their weapons would scorch the Earth into a barren wasteland. While not the best way to maintain peace, it was effective none the less. The only real conflict was that of certain rebel, and terrorist groups. The GWPF dealt with those problems rather quickly each time they popped up. Though this all was propagated as an era of true peace by the golden council, everyone with a functioning brain between their ears saw through it all as forced peace by fear of destruction. Still, forced peace is better than suffering over stupidity.
