The Sablelands
Also known as the "Graveyard Highlands," the northeastern stretch of Requiem is rocky, unfertile, and generally un-ideal for any kind of significant settlement.
Despite this, the weathered hills are home to an unusually high number of ruins, both Antecean and older. Because of this, many believe that something must have happened to drastically change the landscape of the region; turning it into the inhospitable place it is today.
Regardless of its past, the Sablelands derives its macabre nickname from a second, more tangible source: fierce monsters make their homes here, and with ready sources of food often a scarcity, they are more than happy to hunt any explorers or travelers foolish enough to wander the hills.
