The Erathon
Purpose / Function
The Temple serves as the greatest monument to Erathis in Archaeon, and is one of the largest centers for the training of acolytes of Erathis and her worship.
Alterations
Over the years, the original marble temple has been surrounded by some additional structures to provide additional housing for the temple's residents.
Architecture
The Erathon is built out of white marble quarried from the island of Omas, and stands about fifty feet tall, 200 feet long and 100 feet wide. The temple includes a peristyle around the outside, and a large statue of Erathis is located within. Beneath the Erathon is several sets of underground rooms that serve as residences for priests and those who need them, as well as storage rooms for food and tributes to Erathis that cannot be displayed in the temple proper.
History
Construction began on the Erathon began around the year 8, during the Age of Departure, after the imprisonment of Baphomet by Erathis, and it wasn't completed until 293.
