Personal history
Little is actually known about the entity known as the Devourer; what little that is known is mainly drawn from accounts and myths of the Dawn War, when the Devourer led a massive demonic incursion into the new world in order to corrupt and destroy it. Firsthand accounts of the Devourer are rare, as it did not directly participate in many battles during the Dawn War, and few mortals or semi-divine beings were able to survive getting that close to the entity when it did join the fighting. If the stories are to be believed, in the final battle of the War, the Devourer and Asgorath fought each other in the skies above Archaeon as the rallied armors of mortals and lesser deities fought on the ground. In their moment of distraction at the deaths of Lendys and Tamara, the Devourer was able to "cleave the First of Dragons in twain, the halves of the Creator falling to earth as a great cry arose from the armies of the gods..." Afterwards, the renewed Bahamut was able to weaken the Devourer enough to allow the other gods to destroy its form, ending the Dawn War.
