Minotaurs share many characteristics with humanoids: they stand on two legs, have one head, and have two arms. However, their feet are cloven and their head is that of a bull.

Minotaurs must eat one pound of food and drink one gallon of water each day. While minotaurs are omnivorous, most are vegetarians, believing that it is morally incorrect to eat other animals, or that it helps them to resist Baphomet's influence.

While the majority of minotaurs live on the island of Minos, some live in the Republic of Argos and the Free Cities.

Civilization and Culture

History

Minotaurs were originally created by Baphomet on what would later become the island of Minos, and were under his influence for the majority of their early history. However, some minotaurs were able to resist the influence of the demon lord, such as the hero Krosos. Baphomet used minotaurs as shock troops in the Dawn War, and after the war ended, Erathis went to Minos in order to end his control.

Historical Figures

The minotaur hero Krosos, who aided Erathis in imprisoning Baphomet, became the first priest-king of Minos.

Common Myths and Legends

Baphomet is typically credited with creating minotaurs from his own blood and flesh in order to make an army.

Age.
Minotaurs mature and age at about the same rate as humans.
Alignment.
Minotaurs who live on the island of Minos are devout followers of the goddess Erathis and tend to pursue lawful or good alignments, while those who fall under the influence of Baphomet tend to be chaotic or evil.
Horns.
Your horns are natural melee weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal piercing damage equal to 1d6 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
Goring Rush.
Immediately after you use the Dash action on your turn and move at least 20 feet, you can make one melee attack with your horns as a bonus action.
Hammering Horns.
Immediately after you hit a creature with a melee attack as part of the Attack action on your turn, you can use a bonus action to attempt to shove that target with your horns. The target must be no more than one size larger than you and within 5 feet of you. Unless it succeeds on a Strength saving throw against a DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier, you may push it up to 10 feet away from you or knock it prone.
Imposing Presence.
You have proficiency in one of the following skills of your choice: Intimidation or Persuasion.
