The Caretakers are designed with a magical clockwork mechanism that serves as their primary source of energy and motion, and also imbues them with a rudimentary intelligence that allows them to understand Draconic.

Manufacturing process

The exact methods for the creation of Caretakers are unknown, having been lost since the fall of the Lyrian Empire.

Significance

The Caretakers seem to be designed to help maintain and take care of certain Lyrian structures, such as temples or tombs.

Description

The Caretaker is a small bronze construct with four legs, and a sensory apparatus that serves as its head. Underneath of its head is a small sprayer that is connected to two ports on its back, which can have vials filled with liquids inserted for the Caretaker to spray.



Magic Resistance. The Caretaker has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.


Actions

Slash. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 1d4+3 slashing damage plus 3 1d6 lightning damage.
