The Unbidden

The Unbidden are the mysterious alien race that have invaded Arcathia after the Grankor War, and have decimated countless solar systems. They are a tall slender species, with pale skin similar to the Dra'neir , but their skin has a slight green-yellow tinge, due to their atmosphere, discoloring the pigments. The Unbidden appear to be humanoid, with 2 arms and 2 legs, but upon closer inspection all is not what it seems

Appearance:

The Unbidden have 2 main arms, that are long and slender just like the rest of their body. However, they have developed a special ability to separate their arms into 4 thinner appendages. These appendages work the same as any other arm, and are completely individually controlled.

All they have are 6, round, black, bead like eyes, (three on each side) where the average human has eyes. Their eyelids are quite different to many species, because they have 2 sets of lids, one set that is slightly see-through, and a second set that fully encloses their eyes. Whilst stalking and hunting prey, they will most commonly blink with their inner eyelids to avoid losing sight of their quarry.

Another strange, hidden feature of The Unbidden is their jaw. Unlike humans, and many other humanoids who all have a standard opening jaw, The Unbidden have three separate sections of jaw, that all open to reveal rows upon rows of sharp teeth. Two of the sections open to the side of their face, while the third one opens downward like a regular jaw. Once they close their mouth, the individual parts form a seamless jaw, that is hiding a hidden mouth.

Beneath their mouth, on the side of their necks, are three gills (three on each side) These gills are their way of breathing, and expand and contract with each breath. Due to their heavy, liquid-like atmosphere, The Unbidden developed a method of breathing quite similar (on the surface) to most aquatic species. However, if you were to dissect one of the creatures, you would find their insides to be vastly different from any known creature.

Magical Abilities

The Unbidden are completely ignorant of Magic, how it works, and how to successfully become a magician. Because of their inexperience in the field of spellweaving, the magicians, conjurers, and spellweavers of the empires realised this was The Unbidden's largest weakness. After discovering this, the tide of war quicky changed in favour of the Empires.
