Sykon Military

The Sykon Military

Although not a significant military power, the Empire still packs a punch with sheer numbers. Millions of small agile ships, darting all over the place, dealing damage, will eventually destroy enemies. The empire doesn't wage war for fun, but only for strategical gain, or profit, with each move, loss, or advantage calculated accurately to form a synthetic war outcome. Favouring non organic, expendable troops, with advanced AI, the Sykon Empire's military overwhelm the opposition with millions of troops that are sent into battle with no expectation of ever returning home. The majority of the empire's military and tactical moves are heavily influenced by S.I.N, the Sykon Intelligence Network - a web of spies, AI models, and intelligence workers who provide the government with up-to-date information about the empires, and other notable groups in Arcathia.

Sykon Intelligence Network (S.I.N)

The Sykon Intelligence Network plays a big part in wars, battles, and gaining information. They infiltrate enemy ranks, governments, and political parties, gaining secrets held tightly by Empires. Some undercover agents can stay hidden for years, constantly feeding the Sykon government with valuable data, that can help tip the scale in war. Most empires, will be very careful with who they recruit into their top ranks, so as to avoid infiltration. The intelligence network consists of many separate parts all working together to produce a cohesive organisation.

There are countless different highly advanced AI models in the network. These models can hack into enemy programs, calculate different battle outcomes in seconds and work out probabilities of certain actions with precision especially as it takes them less than a minute.

The Sykon Army

The Sykon Empire's army is once again a combination of different aspects that produce one, clear militaristic force. There are ground soldiers, space ships, drones, cyborgs, and AIs. There are more, small parts that are not as necessary, but can still play a bigger part.

Ground Soldiers

The typical ground soldier is taught from a very young age how to act, what to do, and who to take commands from. The majority of soldiers are grown in specialised secret labs scattered across the Sykon Empire's territory. These lab grown babies are genetically modified to produce more effective combatants that can adapt to multiple environments, have higher stamina, resistance, strength, and intelligence. The empire will use these soldiers when invading a planet, guarding a facility or outpost as they are quite cheap and easy to make and mass produce. Sometimes, a special deviation of these ground soldiers is produced. This new group of soldiers would specialise in one field. For example, there would be a separate division of ground troopers that specialise in jungle exploration, or deep space missions, or perhaps trekking across snow swept hills of a distant planet. Or a deviant group of soldiers could have more training and therefore more money spent on them, to produce highly advanced and intelligent weapons, ready to be deployed for undercover missions, guarding a highly prized asset, or as a group of assassins.

Space Ships/Battle Cruisers

The Sykon Empire's motto is "Cheap, Fast, Replaceable", which echoes to their space ships and battle cruisers. Their strategy is to simply overwhelm the enemy with the sheer number of fighting space ships. To do this, the Sykon government implemented the tactic of having a few controlling command ships, that send out signals to all the "drone" ships or manned crafts telling them what to do. This way they don't need expensive pilots, but simple clones, or robots to do the flying.

The drone ships, and main fighters are small in size, being able to fit around 3 people all sitting in the cockpit. Each ship is loaded with weaponry: missiles, bullets, guns and bombs, that all prove useful against shielding from enemy ships. However, once all the ammunition is used up, the pilot of the ship searches for an opening in the enemies shielding or defenses to then ram into, causing more explosions. This method saves the Sykon Government from wasting precious resources on ammunition and restocking the ships, for it is cheaper to make a new ship, than to refuel it
