Strands Of Time

The Strands of Time exist in the Celaes Realm, woven by Chro. Each rope-like Strand represents one person, overlapping each other and extending into the infinite expanse of Celaes. All three Goddesses are able to view the lives that the Strand represents at a specific moment by touching a particular part of the Strand.   How each Strand ends represents the cause of death of that person.

• Clean Cut: Murder

• Haphazard Cut: Accidental Death

• Soft Ending: Old Age

• Knotted: Suicide

• Fraying: Dying in Childbirth

• Rot: Disease/Illness

• Wax: Death by Magic

  Ortuni has a unique relationship with the Strands. When she walks atop them, small gold particles surface and begin to move towards her as if magnetised. These particles are known as Scaurum. Those who have more Scaurum in their Strands are able to perform more powerful magic. Ortuni's unique ability is to directly affect the Strands after they've been woven. However, this causes the Strand to fray at varying degrees depending on the amount of variation from the original. While Chro is able to fix these frayings, doing so will cause all other Strands to re-weave. This produces an intense animosity between Ortuni and Ampiri , who is very particular about how the Strands flow.
