Redemption

Despite the circumstances of Aequs' birth, she rejected the notions of good and evil and became a truly neutral judge. Criminals and similar outcasts come to Aequs for aid and shelter, unjudged by their past.

History

Bahamut and Tiamat both took on human forms at the same time to live amongst people, and through the design of the Three Goddesses, they happened to meet and fall in love. Eventually, they revealed their identities to each other and fled to their individual planes, disgusted. However, Tiamat laid an egg shortly after, and named it Aequs. Aequs was hatched by Tiamat’s followers, but Bahamut’s followers kidnapped her, each faction trying to bring the child to their side. Aequs grew up being constantly traded, always told contradicting ways of life. She also had the power to see good and evil through her two different coloured eyes.   Eventually, Aequs turned to the Goddesses. Chro, unsettled by the chaos, took Aequs herself and granted her clarity, purifying her of the confusing doctrines of her childhood. Aequs went to the Chromai for refuge, and they bandaged her eyes on her request, so that they may never see a persons nature. She swore to judge someone solely on their present self, and not on their past, just like herself. Eventually, she became a part of the Chromai worship, a way to relieve oneself of the past and live in the moment. Often worshipped by criminals and other misguided souls.

Physical Description

It is thought that Aequs is the only true dragon left alive. She is iridescent like a pearl, and has a bandage over her face to hide her eyes.   Even though she has four legs, her symbol does not show this. The reason for this is unknown.
