2-9 ft tall, greatly varying in height, size, shape and build. Ungen are humanoid and appear to have the same organ and body structure as humans, with interbreeding with other human-based species actually being possible, despite their bodies being made up of fungus-like "flesh".
Skin tones of grey/white and pale reds/greens/blues/purples, sometimes even slightly bioluminescent. The crown of their head features a large mushroom cap that comes in a wide variety of vivid colours, and the underside is often bioluminescent.
Ungen have varied human facial features, aside from their large circular eyes that glow a single colour. Ungen don't have any form of hair, however, some can grow a fibrous plant-like beard. Ungen have no visible ears. They also often have patches of spores or toadstools, sometimes glowing, that grow from their skin.
-Although Ungen as a species are capable of sexual reproduction, most Ungen don't endeavour to do so. Rather than being born, most Ungen are instead grown and split off of a part of the patch of a giant "Mother Fungus" that most Ungen build their colonies around. This is also why there exists so much variety in the size and shape of individual Ungen.
