    Anatomy

    Kowal are a species of bipedal mammals with a tiny, stocky frame, similar to other humanoids. Kowal are covered in thick, fluffy grey/white fur from head to toe with the only hairless parts being their small fingers, revealing thick grey/black skin. They have short stubby limbs with paw-like feet and humanoid five-fingered hands. Kowal have circular bear-like ears and a small bear-like nose nestled in amongst their large eyes and small mouth hidden amongst their fur.

    Genetics and Reproduction

    Kowal reproduce sexually via pregnancy and childbirth, like most humanoid mammals. The gestation period for a Horu fetus averages around four months.

    Growth Rate & Stages

    With their shorter lifespan, Kowal tend to grow quite fast, with infancy only lasting four months and children reaching puberty at five to six, and then reaching adulthood at nine to ten.

    Ecology and Habitats

    kowal live in cold snowy regions, especially snowy tundras and mountainous areas with lots of snowfall.

    Dietary Needs and Habits

    Kowal live mostly off of fishing and the gathering of small plants such as mushrooms, algae, berries, seaweed, etc. In larger settlements they may also come to grow their own plants in indoor gardens.

    Kowal skin tends to be black and dark grey in areas uncovered by fur and a lighter shade of grey beneath their fur. Their fur comes in a range of white and light grey shades, while their large eyes come in dark greys and deep, dark blues, greens and browns.
