Government
The Tower Of Shadow is governed by Il Corvo and the four pack leaders. The most prominent was Antonyo Corvo.
But from time to time, especially in economically trying times, a council with the farmers and sheperds is held to discuss how the hardship can be overcome without hurting the operations of the Corvi to much. The real nature of their operations, however, is never disclosed to the villegers.
Defences
The village has no defences aside the tower itself, which has huge granaries and storages to withstand a siege until mercenaries arrive. Until now, no lord or king ever had a reason to launch a full scale invasion of the lone settlement on the vulcano island.
Industry & Trade
The village produces mutton, wool and grain, on the southern bank of the river whilst horses are bred and trained on the northern part of the settlement.
The bulk of the production is used to feed and cloth the Corvi but any excess that is not stored is traded at the market near the chapel.
Horses and mutton are especially popular with lords of the continent of Garandor. Kurai merchants are quite dependant on the grain supply form the Tower of Shatows, since they have hostile relations with the majority of the Muri lords, who block them from engaging in trade through their fiefdoms. In turn, the dwarfen traders sell quality tools, weapons, armor and ore at the market. But everything one might find at a stall at the market are items that are of little or no use for the Tower itself.
Wood, coal aswell as nails are entirely importet from Garandor, while fish is bought from the port village of Azure.
The tavern provides food, drink and a bed for traveling merchants and generates a not so small part of the weekly revenue for the Tower of Shadows.
Infrastructure
The name giving Tower Of Shadows is located on the northern bank of the river on the foot of the inactive vulcano. The seat of the owner and ruler overshadows the stables with the countless horses roaming the ranch, aswell as the watermill and the blast furnaces.
A solid and guarded bridge with stone pillars connect the tower with the heart of the village, the market. Ranches with sheeps and wheat fields border the town tavern and church including the local graveyard.
The streets are not paved with cobblestone but simple trodden paths.
