Three Powers

Upon the Horned One’s Three Cries also fell the Three Powers to divide up the Universe between them. Each Power represents an aspect of the Universe and Creation and the many life paths between them. The Cland Soluis (Plant Golau) are the Children of Light, the most heroic and bold of the three. Those that follow this path seek Cosmic Balance and stability in the Universe and protect it fanatically. The second, the Cland Comáir (Plant Cyfnos) or the Children of Twilight (Twilight Faeries), sit in the middle path and seek no extremes in the grand scheme of things, looking out only for themselves in the end. Opposite to the Children of Light, lie the Cland Dub (Plant Gwyll) or the Children of Darkness (Dark Fey) that aim to bring the Harmonious Universe to ruin for various reasons. They represent the harsh, heartless destructive forces of the Universe.   It is by these Three Powers that the Immortal Sídhe are both divided and bound.  Each Fey must remain on the path of the Power they are chosen too.  Great and powerful acts may allow them to move to another of the paths, but it doesn't give them any freedom from the paths, it simply places them on a different path.  Thus Fey will follow their nature rather than their mind.     This very nature makes the Sidhe to be largely incompatible with mortal beings.  Over time the Sidhe will assert their way until they have destroyed or subordinated the mortal.  Temperance in their thoughts and actions is not within their grasp, they can seem to be accomodating, but in the end their nature will win out.
