Ethan caught up with the others who informed him of what they had done while he was off getting plants. When they approached the spring they were attacked by a giant scorpion that was crazed by the corrupted eldritch balm and it fought to the death. After defeating the scorpion Alexander pored the holy water in which started purifying the eldritch balm. Ethan noticed a notebook with plans that talked about doing all the bad things that happened this year as well as some life draining notes. However, when this was reported to the professors they didn't think much of it. Dina and Rootha thought that it was and to hold on to it. The party was then celebrated as heroes of strixhaven and were even in the Strixhaven Star.
