People is the highest Order of Denizens, above Being, Beast, and Creature, and is divided into three Types,
Racial, Sub-racial, and monstrous. The Order is distinguished from other Denizens by their virtues, their ability to organize their industry and build civilizations, and their ability to craft Maneau through applications, industry, and/or will. People have existed for time immemorial and live to toil for advancement, vanity, and glory. They are the only form of life ensouled by deities and are given Divine Dominion over the lower orders of life. People are the instruments of Divine Will, exhausting their life for the Glory of the Heavens.
Character
People are characterized by possessing a majority of the following attributes; sentient, lingual, industrious, dominant, and upright. All people must be sentient and lingual as these are key components of cognition, which is the foundation of all virtue. Major Races tend to possess all of these attributes while Sub-races usually lack regional dominance, and Monsters often are not upright or industrious but excel in regional dominance.
Habitat and Ecology
People are most at home within their native range, which determines the provisions required for them to thrive, but through their industry, they can spread into any environment across Caditia, as long as they ensure proper provisions. This enables them to dominate and exploit lower Orders of Denizens and exploit resources to facilitate their expanse and prosperity while also placing them in conflict with other Peoples allowing order to be maintained through the chaos of conflict.
Religion
People are ensouled by deities and are instilled with a sense of Higher Purpose. Souls also allow mortals to transcend the physical plane and comune with greater beings in the planes beyond. The ability of abstraction is also linked to the soul and allows People to imagine and contemplate esoteric concepts. These conditions are what gives People the providence to create a space between the physical and divine planes and build complex systems of belief to interpret Divine Will.
Maneau and Magick
People are unique amongst all forms of life in that they can directly craft Maneau into desired and stable magicks through their various and complex industries. Whether it's the verbal and somatic components of an Arcadian wizard, the skill and labor of a Dwarven craftsman, or the time and effort of an Elven herbologist, People can exploit Maneau, through their industry, to create all manner of effects to fulfill individual or social desire.
Industry
People, through societal organization, portion their labor into various industries for personal, social, or divine purposes, while lower Orders of Denizens exhaust all of their labor for sustainment. Industry is the ability of People to advance above all forms of life for advancement and prosperity.
