Arc Tribune v2: Summer's Endgame
" You gotta know your limits, understand? Don't waste time twisting your eye at a wall of light! You look past it- through it, if you can. As you expand those walls, you'll divide your uncertainties until one thing is clear..."
Dyne sat on the bench's edge, "What's that, Coach?"
The wise Dwarf scratched his chin and squinted his eyes at Dyne. "You think I can tell you that?!" He thought for a moment...

Editor's Response
Thank you, Tyrdal! My experience as a GM primarily comes from running 3.5 Dungeons & Dragons, along with DnD 5.0, Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, and Vampire: The Masquerade. While I may not have delved into many other systems, my 15+ years of dedication to the craft and market study has given me a specialized perspective.
Arc Sagas is based in the D20 System for easy integration with existing mechanics, as the Arx-Core System is designed to be adaptable across various Role-Play modules. The historical settings and cosmology provides a versatile foundation, supporting diverse campaign types. Additionally, Arc Sagas' core elements translate well across multiple media, ensuring a cohesive experience across the tabletop, books, and video games.
The foundations of any game are Progression,Transparency and Conflict Resolution. These ensure players understand the system, make informed decisions, and stay motivated through clear goals and rewarding progress. Arc Sagas incorporates these elements to craft an immersive and balanced gameplay experience.
Creating something distinct, not just another clone, is key. I focus on delivering what players seek- shared escapism and collaborative storytelling between GM and Players. I believe a good group will adapt the features of the system that works for them and disregard what doesn't- and that is ok. The immersive experience is what drives me to bring Arc Sagas to Game Nights everywhere!
Moving forward, Arc Sagas continues to evolve holistically, expanding adaptability, design, and narrative depth. Whether through module releases, novels, or video games, my goal remains to provide a seamless and immersive media experience. Stay tuned for more updates as I continue to focus on crafting an engine of experiences!
P.S. I have considered branching out to play some other TTRPGs. If you're looking for a new Player for a system I didn't mention, consider letting me know in the Comments below!

Buniru, the First Playable Culture!
I'd like to credit Demongrey of Million Islands for Buniru as he prompted me to create a species of Chimera! I had a few ideas (still do), but ultimately, wrote this Article for Summer Camp prompt- a displaced people in your World by Morgan Berry. As a "Chimera", they are a blend of Rabbit, Squirrel, and Goat!Certainly not "rabbit-people"; amongst Aelves and Mystomythians, it was Buniru that won the sentience Race to become Pathon's first published Culture/ Ethnicity! Fitting, as these guys are the fastest climbers and sprinters in Pathon's frozen lands of forever frost, the Ice Age!
That said, I'm not as quick to write TTRPG aspects for their mechanics- yet. New ideas and inspirations continue to emerge as I explore the World of Pathon! Find out how that translated to the TTRPG in this edition's Under the Hood !

Buniru- A Brief Summary
The Buniru, referred to as "Dungeon Humanoids," are believed to have originated from Pathon's treacherous Dungeons, though their true origins remain unclear. This uncertainty, coupled with their lack of a unified cultural identity, left them vulnerable during the expansion of the Tribal Nations.
Physically, Buniru are distinguished by their large bushy tails, elongated ears, and cloven hooves, which give them exceptional climbing ability. Their sharp black nails allow them to scale glacial walls with ease, and their insulating fur provides protection against the cold. Standing between 4 and 4.5 UN, they rely on their Agility and Spirit to survive in the icy, unforgiving lands they call home.

Standing between 4 and 4.5 UN, they rely on their Agility and Spirit to survive in the icy, unforgiving lands they call home.
A Buniru's lifestyle is centered around survival, with small, tight-knit communities led by Elders who pass down knowledge through oral tradition. They collect information about other Cultures, learning new methods of survival from rivals. Their spiritual beliefs are tied to the harsh environments they inhabit, revering the natural spirits of the mountains and glaciers. They protect their homes with tooth and nail.
Known for their cunning and adaptability, they are masters of navigating treacherous landscapes, often using their natural celerity to outwit those that hunt them for their meat and fur. Buniru survive on lichen and moss, mushrooms, and various leafy greens, but they will scavenge meat and other food when necessary. Though this is not preferred to their palette, the Buniru are born survivalists, as they were not welcome in the civilizations that arose during the Ice Age. Resilient and resourceful, Buniru adapted to survive against the Cultures and climate that shunned them.

" You've lived a different life compared to most Nobles. All I can tell you is that you need to find your limit, Prince."
Dyne scoffed, reflexively raising his hands in defense, "Please, Coach. While Ca' Aradi remains in conflict, I avoid this title."
"Well! Fine! Fine!" Coach exclaimed as he stomped in frustration. Dyne was used to the Dwarf's mannerisms, chuckling under his breath. "Listen," he began, regaining his composure, "My concern is you haven't lost- not yet!"
"Sure! Sure! You've been bruised, cut, and stabbed enough times, but you haven't lost your life to Blood Sports yet. Dyne, you're taking risks in these high stakes Honor matches. Can't tell you if that is bold or reckless, but I do know that every man has a limit. If Death isn't the limit, then you need to find one, kid. Before all this good fortune abandons you or worse- you do something you'll regret," Coach seemed distant as he delivered his admonition.
Dyne reflected on his mentor's words before he responded.

Question! Question!
What games or systems are you currently playing?
- Whether it is a Video Game or TTRPG, I'm curious! What Games have you been invested in lately? Why? Is it the ambience, Game-Mechanics or World-Building? Is it the Characters or Narrative? Design? Game-Play? Continuity?
- Alternatively, what's a game that feels familiar? One that you like to return to occasionally? This could also be a series or franchise that you prefer!
- When it comes to Table-Tops, I'll always have a place on my shelf for my 3.5 DND Library. Without it, I'd have a lesser quality of experience with Role-Playing as a whole.
- If you're curious, I like Pokemon! It's a franchise that has grown with me; it feels nice and familiar. World-Building, strategy, competition and immersive game-play through Nuzlockes gave me an appreciation for the series. I'm also an avid shiny collector! That'll teach patience!
Crossing the Threshold!
"Crossing the Threshold" is a new segment in the Arc Tribune dedicated to bringing you the latest news and updates relevant to Arc Sagas, World Anvil, or the Story-Teller's Circle! I'm proud to be a part of a thriving Community! Expect more from the World that still yet turns, Pathon of Arc Sagas!
This Month, I decided to step back from competitions, though I'd like to take the opportunity to mention two fantastic challenges, being ran by Tyrdal & Elspeth of P'Ache; both are running The Longest Journey & Mystember Challenges, respectively.
I was unable to participate, so I hope you'll take this opportunity to check it out instead! Both are great opportunities for you to expand your setting, so why not? Challenge yourself today, in an unofficial sorta way!

Speaking of unofficial, your friends at Story-Teller's Circle are at it again! We've got a Super Secret Project in the works, as we speak! I'll most likely take opportunities with Arc Tribune to present updates- but that is if the inner Circle doesn't beat me with cudgels for spilling beans!
All I can tell you is we're working on an ambitious new concept, led and inspired by Rumengol of The Five Skies, as well as our contributing members of the Story-Teller's Circle.
I'll be excited to bring you updates in the future!

Arc Sagas- An Introduction to the Arx-Core System!
This Month, I've spent Time working on a new style for delivering TTRPG-specific content. I'm working on a Primer for this aspect of the Project now. This also includes a new Background, as well as the New Spoilers and Back to World button!
It'll always impress me how expansion in one area of a Project often influences the outputs of another! This new Article will address subjects such as a brief on how-to-play, starting statistics, and action economy within the system. It'll also serve as a guide and reference for all Articles written under Mechanics.
I'm excited to share more about these developments soon, and I hope this new format enhances your experience with the setting. There will be more to come soon!

In addition, I'd also like to take a moment to describe a unique feature of Arc Sagas: Class System. While this isn't anything ground-breaking, there is a unique twist to Arc Sagas' Classes that will be elaborated upon soon.
What I'd like you to know right now, is that there are Age-Specific variants! Classes are relative to the Historical Setting that the GM and Players upon!
What I'd like you to know right now, is that there are Age-Specific variants! Classes are relative to the Historical Setting that the GM and Players upon!
One solid example of this working, is the progression from Berzerker to Barbarian. While these two Combat Classes seem to be the exact same, there are differences that set them apart in play-style!
Streamlining class options while offering rich, immersive possibilities, my Goal is for Players to craft truly unique characters where Class no longer defines their identity. This kind of flexibility is at the heart of the upcoming Arx-Core System!

See you next Month! October '24!
He’d never known limitations- there was always a solution when you were a Noble. His life was unconventional, foreign to most. But his goals now required greater risks, something Coach just wouldn't understand. If he were to become the greatest Swordsman of Pathon, he'd need to overcome the inevitability of Death.
Dyne stood. “I’m hitting the showers, Coach. You’ve given me a lot to think about.” He tossed his Bottan bathrobe over the bewildered dwarf and strolled away, butt-naked. Scars rippled across his back as a bath attendant blushed and scurried about her errands.
Flushed with anger, Coach muttered, “That kid needs to get a grip on his limits! This is ridiculous!" He stomped, "Fine! Fine!”
