Hydro-tech

First developed by Pleosal, this is the basic technology that many services and factories run on. This also accounts for the reason why so many settlements have been built by rivers. This hydro-tech is also the foundational energy-creating scheme that Arburg uses. The only other form of energy production is found in Bacroyce. The complexity of the technology ranges from extremely basic to complex systems of gears.

Manufacturing

The wooden gears and water wheels can be specially manufactured in most of the Arburgian carpenter shops. It is basically just wood that has to be shaped, and then it has to be sealed with a water-resistant wax to prevent it from decaying.

Accessibility

Eflaria, Asmye, Pleosal, Dolgate, Cetrary, Rascad, Rosepass and Neska all use this technology. Atra has its own form of energy production; Spoital refuses to use it in fear of damagin any wildlife in Spoital River; Lochines doesn't have a river large enough to produce energy, and the situation is the same for Bacroyce.
Inventor(s)
Pleosal first invented this technology to run their mills and granaries.
Complexity
The complexity of the technology varies, depending on where it is. The picture above shows the most common application of it. The basic idea is that the water turns the wheel, which acts as a turbine and powers something inside the building. Some places, which are further from a river, have harnessed the energy using a system of wooden gears. The biggest gear is turned, which turns another gear, which turns another, etc, and then it reaches a buillding and works the same way as before.

Maintenance

The mechanism has to be checked regulary, the more complicated systems more frequently. All the gears have to be checked to see if they are in place, and obstructions to the water wheel in the river have to be removed.
