Shadethorn bush
A dark, woody bush with small, sharp thorns, it flowers very briefly, with bight blue flowers on the upper branches.
The sticks, when dried and the thorns removed are fragrant with a bittersweet taste and are a popular thing for folks to chew on, both for cleaning teeth and for the enjoyable taste. Especially loved by children when eaten as part of a Sherbet Sack
