The Craezar Manifesto
To all seekers of wisdom, shapers of spell and scroll, guardians of knowledge, and kin of the Lyceum
We, the undersigned students and mentors of the Arcane Lyceum, do put forth this declaration, not as rebellion, but as renewal. Not as a challenge to tradition, but as a restoration of purpose.
In the wake of High Arcanist Craezar’s passing, our halls echo with memory: not only of his power, but of his vision. Craezar saw beyond the veil of privilege and power. He believed, no, proved, that magic is not a birthright of the few, but a responsibility to the many.
He taught that knowledge without compassion is cruelty, that arcana without ethics is tyranny, and that the greatest spell we cast is the world we choose to make together.
Let us not entomb his legacy in statues and classroom lectures. Let us make it living, breathing, binding.
We Call for the Following
- That the Lyceum remain open to all minds, regardless of birth or coin, provided their pursuit is earnest and their will to learn unbroken.
- That research into destructive and war-based magic remain bound by ethics review and public accountability.
- That enchantments, inventions, and teachings which improve the lives of the common folk be prioritized, funded, and celebrated.
- That magical creatures be treated not as resources to exploit, but as beings to understand, and that any containment be a last resort, not a first method.
- That the teachings of Craezar, on humility, on hope, and on the noble use of the arcane, be preserved as core to our curriculum.
- We pledge to hold ourselves to a higher purpose. To question not only what magic can do, but what it should do.
- To honor not only the mind, but the heart.
- To walk in Craezar’s footsteps, not as shadows, but as torchbearers.
