Dam'ar Al'Shair - the Tear of the Sands

Among the scorching sands , many strange and exotic treasures exist, but few command the awe of the Dam'ar Al'Shair, also known as the Tear of the Sands. Born from mystery and shadows and with a beauty unlike anything else under the moons, not a single other gem like it has ever been found. How it came into the Alabaster Palace's treasury is a mystery, yet there it rests, safeguarded by ancient magic and sovereign might.   The Dam'ar Al'Shair is a fist-sized, deep saffron crystal that seems to glow with an inner light born from dreams and endless sands. Its surface is shaped into a hundred facets, as if carved by the relentless wind, and yet it holds minute, shimmering motes of silver dust suspended within its depths, catching the light like a thousand stars. Its surroundings waver with heat, as if the stone still holds the concentrated, relentless warmth of the ancient sands its color resembles.
