The Scarlet King

Overview

The Scarlet King, also known as The Lord of the Throne of Despair, or Scarlet Archon is a being of myth and legend that is only spoken about in hushed whispers, or by arrogant scholars who believe they understand him and his motives. None know just when the Scarlet King came into existence, there are questions of whether he was birthed into the universe or simply manifested as an essence of terror. Most scholars who attempt to research further into the Scarlet King slowly go mad, until they are imprisoned or simply disappear.   The Scarlet King has been worshipped by numerous radical groups, the most prominent being the savage Daevite Empire and the Children of the Scarlet King. The Children are a series of cults which consist of countless individuals who believe in the establishment of a bloody hierarchy of strength around the world. Discovered texts portray him as capable to conquer and destroy entire worlds and civilizations, and threaten other elder gods. In several long dead legends, the Scarlet King was served by many figures, among them The Factory, Jeser the Prince of Many Faces, Lord Goran and Lord Callus, Moloch the Horned One, and the Hanged King.
