Reikeer
An elemental race born near the core of aralla. Brought to the surface by the Saint Khemed, Guardian of the Elements the species now lives in a magically created city attached to Banathor. Their skin is made of a hard rocky slate, their hair burns like fire, and in place of blood they have black smoke running through their veins.
Ability Score Modifiers: Reikeer are hardy and wise, but their skin is more rigid than most. They gain +2 Constitution, +2 Wisdom, and –2 Dexterity.
Type: Reikeer are humanoids with the Reikeer subtype.
Size: Reikeer are Medium creatures and thus receive no bonuses or penalties due to their size.
Base Speed: Reikeer have a base speed of 30 feet.
Languages: Reikeer begin play speaking Common and Reikeer. Reikeer with high Intelligence scores can choose from the following: Aquan, Auran, Dwarven, Elven, Gnome, Halfling, Ignan, and Terran. See the Linguistics skill page for more information about these languages.
Energy Resistance: Reikeer have fire resistance 5.
Flare Up (Sp): Reikeer are naturally warm enough to live normally on the surface, but are able to rapidly heat up their body temperature to what it used to be. As a standard action a Reikeer can heat up their body, while heated up they deal an additional 1d6 fire damage on unarmed strikes and natural attacks and their fire resistance is increased by 5. In addition, while flared up, any creature that strikes them with an unarmed strike or natural attack or touchs them, such as with a touch range healing spell, suffers 1d6 fire damage. This ability lasts until disabled as a standard action.
Naturally Luminous: Reikeer naturally shed light as per a torch. This can not be suppressed unless the reikeer is unconcious.
Slate Skin: Reikeers skin is made of a hard rocky slate. They gain a +1 racial bonus to natural armor.
Water Weakness: Reikeer suffer 1d6 damage per round while fully submerged in water and take half-again (1.5x) damage from cold damage.
Elemental Affinity: Reikeer sorcerers with the elemental bloodline treat their Charisma score as 2 points higher for all sorcerer spells and class abilities. Reikeer spellcasters with the Fire, Air, or Earth domains use their domain powers and spells at +1 caster level.
