Alltongue

Alltongue, also known as Common, is the most common language across Aradia, spoken by most societies and ancestries on the known continent. It is the 'native' tongue of humans, and thus is prevalent in nations where human societies are strongest, such as Anduril, Belledance, and the Calvard Collective.    The origins of Alltongue date all the way back to 1200 A.A., when traders began drafting a common language to facilitate trade across various regions without the need for hiring translators. Initially, it was based on a combination of Dwarven and Halfling dialects. As it became more and more widely used, it adapted characteristics of other languages. To this day, however, even dwarves and halflings that do not speak Alltongue are able to understand at least some of it based on their own languages.
