The Listener, The Deceiver, The Walker in Shadows (a.k.a. Cudius, Gráinne, Desiderius, Orpheus)
Sims is the god of Darkness, Secrets (specifically discovering things meant to be kept secret), Betrayal, and Deceit. He is an insidious, cunning, and stealthy God whose agents listen at doors, go where they aren't supposed to, make false promises, skulk in shadows, and stab others in the back (literally or figuratively). Sims seeks knowledge, but unlike Eldred, he seeks to learn things that others wish kept hidden. He hoards this knowledge, doling it out to such people at such times as will cause the most harm to its originator. Sims is a petty and spiteful god that delights in destroying the bonds of companionship and trust among mortals. Sims is more mercenary than Brand or Ferregine, willing to sell his secrets or blessings for even benign causes, but such boons always come at a price.
He is occasionally worshipped purely for his connection to stealth and secrets (with the belief that knowledge is power) along with Eldred, with his more unsavory aspects ignored. This is the exception rather than the rule, however, and most of his worshippers actively abide by their Gods' commands to infiltrate and destabilize organizations, relationships, and especially the clergy and temples of other gods.
In the Central Pantheon - Cudius
In the Central Pantheon, Cudius is the God of Darkness, Secrets, Cunning, and Plans. Unlike his counterpart in the other Pantheons, he is not an inherently malevolent deity in the Central Pantheon. Cudius is sought out when blunt, straight-forward tactics are insufficient and a more indirect approach is needed. As such, his assistance is viewed as invaluable when one is faced with a difficult situation or rival that must be overcome. Cudius is also a keeper of secrets. Unlike his other counterparts, he does not dole such secrets out lightly, but assists in the safekeeping of things which others do not wish known. This often puts him at odds with Hughard and Brechtje.
In the Western Pantheon - Gráinne
Gráinne is a temptress who entices mortals to abandon the concepts of honor and glory; to fear challenge, risk, and death. She turns stout warriors' hearts frail and quivering; she leads honest folk to lie and everyone to go to any means to tarry on this world a little longer. In doing so, she lures mortals away from glory and greatness into selfishness and cowardice, denying them their chance to ascend. She is also associated with ignoble deaths and is considered a goddess of murder by dishonorable means: unfair odds, betrayal, and assassination being among the most prominent. When she can find no mortal agent to carry out her tasks, she inflicts people with disease, forcing them to suffer while rendering them unable to achieve glory.
In the Southern Pantheon - Desiderius
Desiderius is the God of Betrayal, Deceit, Cruelty, Greed, Gluttony, and Lust. He is a selfish God who delights in tempting mortals to indulge in excess and to lie and betray others to get what they want. To summarize Desiderius in a word: entitlement. His victims (and often his own followers) pursue their desires and personal pleasure without any care to moderation or whom they harm along the way, for many harming others along the way is part of the fun.
In the Eastern Pantheon - Orpheus
Orpheus is the god of darkness and ice. He is the soothing darkness of a quiet night and the lurking horror of those blindly lost in caves and forests; the cool wind of a hot day and the frigid ice of the deep winter. Orpheus is sullen, callous, and reserved, quite the opposite of his animated counterpart, Iris. Orpheus is a keeper of secrets both good and evil which he hides beneath his blanket of darkness. He is also associated with endings. Orpheus is one half of the dual deity Prokopios, the deity of opposites, liminality, transitions, cycles, and time.
