Osric

The Prismatic Archmage, The Time Keeper, The Divine Emperor (a.k.a. Himilgan, Níolasri, Horatio, Angeliki)

Osric is the chief god of the Aran Pantheon and is believed to have been responsible for granting divinity to the others. It is also believed to be the most powerful of the pantheon, having control, at least to some degree, over both magic and time itself. Osric is a distant and impartial deity who cares not for the politics of mortals. Its clergy believe that it has seen the entirety of the cosmos's lifespan, from its inception to its inevitable destruction. Some also believe it will be Osric who ultimately destroys it. Others simply believe it represents the eventual entropy that awaits the world, as is evidenced by void between its stars. Its clergy seek his guidance in expanding their knowledge of magic, both arcane and divine. Osric is also the most neutral deity among the Pantheon, favoring no race in particular. Because of this, depictions of both its appearance and mannerisms are fairly consistent across many cultures, much more so than the other members of the Pantheon.

In the Central Pantheon - Himilgan

Himilgan is the god of magic and the future. His Central counterpart is not attributed with granting divinity to the rest of the pantheon, but he is believed to be the primary source of magic in the world. Himilgan is said to view time in reverse, able to "remember" the future as we do the past, but only able to make predictions and speculation on things of our past. Himilgan is also associated with what few celestial objects which are visible with the naked eye and are not the sun, stars, or the four moons. He is sometimes associated with the fifth moon, with some variations even going so far as to claim the fifth moon is his physical form. Himilgan is something of a stingy deity who does not hand out boons freely, but requests offerings to be made for such gifts.

In the Western Pantheon - Níolasri

In the Western Pantheon, Níolasri is another god-ancestor who escaped the rebirth cycle without ascending, though the way in which he did this is unknown. Níolasri, in fact, is the ancestor-god of the unknown. He is believed to be the empty space between things in the night sky. He is also the ancestor-god of paradoxes and impossibility. Because of all of this, there is very little that is known or preached about Níolasri as his very nature is self-contradictory and difficult to describe. He is believed to have complete control over everything that is unknown, which includes the future, giving him an association with time as well.   Those who worship Níolasri have a more contentious relationship with him than other gods' followers. Níolasri only has power of that which is unknown or impossible, so once someone has wrested the knowledge from him, it is no longer in his purview. As such, Níolasri's followers cannot share in any of his power because to do so would render it known and thus outside of Níolasri's domain. There are some who seek to return things to Níolasri's domain by actively destroying knowledge which has not yet been widespread, but such followers are typically seen as insane fanatics.

In the Southern Pantheon - Horatio

Horatio is revered as the god of Magic, Space, and Time. While he is not believed to be the source of magic itself, it is believed that Horatio taught magic to both mortals and to the Dragons. Horatio himself is a fairly reclusive deity who tends not to take a particularly active role in the affairs of mortals. He is not often prayed to unless the person in question is seeking advancement in their studies of magic and the universe or visions of the future.

In the Eastern Pantheon - Angeliki

Angeliki does not hold her Imperial counterpart's mastery of time nor the role of granting divinity to the rest of the pantheon. Angeliki is the goddess of magic and willpower. All magic is said to be an extension of Angeliki's will. While divine casters are believed to be granted their powers from their respective deities, it is believed that Angeliki serves as a sort of "intermediary" between the mortal and the other deity, shaping the divine power into the spell their follower casts. Her magic is arcane and those who are born with such talent are revered as chosen of Angeliki. However, those who practice arcane magic without her gift are believed to be thieves whom she punishes most thoroghly. She is, predictably, a spirited and cunning goddess. Angeliki is one half of the dual deity Anekitos.

In the Western Pantheon

Níolasri is never seen properly. He is an outline, an empty space where a Orc-shaped thing should be.

In the Southern Pantheon

In the Eastern Pantheon

She carries a gnarled staff, intricately carved with what is said to be the very laws of magic itself.
