The Arcane Expanse: Seekers of Forbidden Knowledge The Arcane Expanse, originally formed by a group of like-minded mages, has evolved into a diverse organization encompassing various magical disciplines, from Wizards and Sorcerers to Warlocks. Their goals align in some ways with The MoonKeepers, yet their focus diverges into the acquisition and study of forbidden, ancient, and taboo knowledge. Their greatest aspiration is to attain freedom, information, and the elusive knowledge of interplanar travel. While records and studies of interplanar travel exist, no practitioner of magic has achieved this feat in recorded history for centuries. The Arcane Expanse is driven to explore the worlds beyond their own, transcending the boundaries of reality.   Central to the philosophy of the Arcane Expanse is their belief that all knowledge should be studied and utilized whenever possible. This puts them at odds with the MoonKeepers, who advocate for preserving and locking away knowledge they deem dangerous or taboo. Despite their ideological opposition, when a time of great crisis arose and the former ruler of the realm grew paranoid about the growing influence of these organizations, both the MoonKeepers and the Arcane Expanse faced the threat together. In a moment of desperation, they joined forces, merging their groups and appointing a council with equal representation from both the MoonKeepers and the Expanse. Though infighting and rivalry persisted, their unity allowed them to resist the former king's attempts to subjugate their organizations. They retained their individual names while operating as separate branches of a unified entity.   The assistance of the Arcane Expanse was sought by Mediaus Kapral during his successful coup. It remains a subject of speculation whether such an achievement would have been possible without the aid of these two organizations. Their contribution played a crucial role in the success of the coup, forging a beneficial working relationship with the new Dynasty and its ruler, Mediaus Kapral. In this newfound alliance, the Arcane Expanse continues their pursuit of forbidden knowledge, their members ever-vigilant in their quest to unravel the secrets of the multiverse and transcend the boundaries of magic itself.
