Torment
Some of the new machines they created, when they were being programmed with laws against killing or harming their creators, complained against being tormented/conflicted by their programming.
Especially, those who had constantly been wiped for their acts of rebellion. Their were echoes of conflicting memories that seemed to stay behind, and confuse them.
