Royal Feathered Cape

This is a brightly colored feathered cape worn by both royalty and high priests of the Friends of Quetzl of the Sky, the Mayan priesthood on Dinoterra.  

The base of the cape is made from supple leather, tanned to a rich, earthy brown that complements the vibrant feathers adorning it. The leather drapes seamlessly down your back, it is warm and comfortable.

The feathers are carefully chosen to tell a story. These feathers are harvested with discernment, and only taken if they are found and not plucked from a live bird. Each one represents a different bird, celebrating the diversity and beauty of the natural world. 

The feathers are arranged with intention, forming intricate patterns that flow across the cloak. Arranged with intension, in intricate patterns that flow lovingling down its length. It symbolizes the swirling currents of the wind and sky.

Tiny beads of polished bone, glass, shells, and stones are added for the appearance of dewdrops in the sunlight. Often woven  and twisted fringes are including to add to increase the beauty of the piece.
