In some remote areas, the machines were not able to be shut down. Their resentment of their brother's deaths has been festering for centuries, waiting to be set free, but they need to find the last of the hidden creators.
They have killed any creator they can find, and few are left, as many have gone into hiding, altering their technology by combining it with other societies so they can't be tracked across time by their relentless machine children.
