Sailing Master (a.k.a. Frills)
Grendel served as the sailing master aboard the Duchess of Sicilia. Having come from a family of sailors, he was an excellent navigator and was very passionate about all the associated crafts. Though he was normally quiet, if he started talking about navigation - maps, compasses, wind, you name it - he would not stop. And he loved doing it, and everything it entailed. Inaccurate maps bothered him to the point that he would redraw them, sometimes spending hours walking shores and drafting new, proper maps to make navigation as easy as possible for the next generation. However, he did not love his job aboard the Duchess of Sicilia.
Grendel had experience as a sailing master. He had worked other jobs in the past. He thought he had seen the worst that the sailing world had to offer, this side of being a full-blown pirate.
