Grigori Rasputin
"Girgori was a complex man with more tales than truth behind his name. Don't let it be lost though, that he created the foundation of our society today. Without him we'd still be under the thumb of Romanov."
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
What isn't known about Grigori Rasputin is that his conversion was in part due to an encounter he had with a Vampire whilst conducting his pilgrimage. During his pilgrimage he was captured by a Vampire and was being kept as a food source. Just as he was close to death a monk slew the Vampire and rescued Rasputin from his captivity.
During his treatment at the local monastery the monk reveal to Rasputin that the creature that kidnapped him was a Vampire. When he was healthy enough the monk showed him the depths of the Vampires depravity throughout the country he called home. All lead by the Emperor of All Russia Nicholas Romanov, who themselves was a Vampire now.
Rasputin couldn't let this travesty stand. He trained under the monk to learn the ways of the Hunt and the power of Christ to banish these dark beings. At the conclusion of his training he transferred to the Saint Petersburg Church in hopes to get close to Nicholas to impart his revenge. When he was put in charge of caring for Nicholas's son he used this opportunity to establish the foundation for the downfall of House of Romanov.
