Summary
The Apple of Discord is an artifact of Eris, the goddess of strife, that she utilized during the wedding of Peleus and Thetis to cause discourse with Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite. This single incident caused the judgement of Paris that then caused the Trojan War.
After the conclusion of the Trojan War the apple was lost to time with it occasionally popping up which caused conflict wherever it appeared. Its most recent occurrence has been attributed to the current conflict between Ukraine and Russia. When the initial conflict started the Brotherhood of Saints went to provide humanitarian aid to individuals affected by the conflict.
When conversing with one of the Russian officials one of the brothers noticed an uneaten apple that was to pristine to be considered normal. Upon doing some research the brothers determined that this official was in possession of the Apple of Discord. It was decided that the brotherhood had to take possession of the apple before more discourse ensued.
The brotherhood gained possession of the apple and returned it safely to their headquarters vault. It still remains there to this day and is currently the center of some occult studied to better understand these artifacts and the power that they hold.
