Fen, the Wizard of Blue Spire

Born in Alstrea, Fen displayed magical aptitude at a young age and was enrolled in the Galdor School for Magic, one of the most prestigious academies in Imos during the High Arcanum Era. He was a gifted student of many schools, but his fascination with the fundamental fabric of magic—Aetherics—defined his career. He was chosen to assist in the construction of a monumental magical structure: the Blue Spire, a towering repository meant to house every known spell in the world and preserve arcane knowledge for future generations.   When Argon turned against magic under King Cyr I, Fen’s own older brother, he chose exile. Rather than fight, he sealed himself inside the Blue Spire, cutting it off from the world with layers of magical wards and dimensional cloaks. To the outside, the tower became a myth—a smooth stone structure with no door, no windows, and no visible way in.   For 800 years, Fen has remained within, guarding the Spire’s power, seeking no contact—until the Balefire Venture came calling.   Appearance:   Tall, ethereal, and almost elven in countenance, Fen Brightoak carries the stillness of deep time. His fair skin shows no blemish, his long light-brown hair flowing loosely past simple azure robes. He walks with the calm precision of someone whose thoughts stretch across centuries. His eyes rarely blink. His expression is unreadable, blank not from ignorance, but from weighty restraint.   Personality:   Fen is quiet, deliberate, and burdened with purpose. His long isolation has made him socially detached and blunt, often missing the subtlety of modern conversation or politics. However, his care for the world is evident—he continues to observe, to aid, and to protect. Those who earn his attention find him a steady, if unnerving, mentor.
