Zeggor Pyrehide (Zeg-gor Pyre-hide)

Zeggor Pyrehide (born 10th of Tyr, 5979 of the Era Secundus) was a lumberjack, gaining the title of King of Irelia in the Riversworn Uprising. He is also sometimes referred to as the "Peasant King".

Early Life

Zeggor Pyrehide was born in 5979, as a poor peasant boy in the village of Orfinden. Growing up alongside 5 siblings, he became a lumberjack around 14 years old. Helping his family with the farm for much of the following years, he met Ophelia at 18, with the two of them quickly getting into a relationship, and even married. They would have a son, whom they named Carl, after Ophelias grandfather.

Unfortunately for their peaceful peasant lives, in 5998, King Jorland the Second of Irelia decided that a war of vengance against the vampires would be a good idea, with his men soon arriving at Orfinden to demand a levy. Zeggor was much displeased with this, choosing to not comply with the call to levy, taking off into the plains with his wife and some provisions. The harsh conditions on the road would cause the death of his infant son.

The Riversworn Uprising

He would soon meet Theodor Riversworn, leader of a small-time revolution against the King, with views very similar to Zeggor. The two men developed a friendship, with Zeggor discovering his talent of riling up the men, which quickly allowed him to take over the revolution as a figurehead. As the new head of the Riversworn Uprising, Zeggor would lead his improvised army against the standing armies of the King, including elements of the Kalderian Guard.

After overcoming the odds, his rebellion would arrive at the gates of Hossar in 6001, where, faced with the decision between further bloodshed and giving up the crown, Jorland the Second would opt for the latter, in exchange for not being executed. Thus, Zeggor Pyrehide would be the first King of House Pyrehide, with Ophelia ascending to the throne as his queen.

Reign (since 6001)

Since then, the king has had a few ups and downs in his reign. Mainly and chiefly was to be recognised by the surrounding nations, which he has only achieved recently, via the Circadian Accords, the peace treaty with the Celestial Elf Empire in the early summer months of 6017.

He also had to replace many Spymasters, since one after another would always turn out to be incompetent, with him now having finally found a reliable Spymaster in 6011, in Iowan Softfoot.
