Specifically, he pointed out that Mell had contacts within the church, who could give the group a shot at talking to the queen and get her perspective on the King.

They also had to come with Snaketongue to a meeting with Theodor Riversworn, who is the Bannerlord of Irelia (in charge of the military of Irelia). Though the meeting itself was not that productive, Theodor did take interest in Rashid, asking him about things like loyalty and belonging.

Rashid, in return, asked him what he thinks of the diplomacy business, which he answered by admitting he is not a people person, but also said that he wants the assassin found and put to their righteous judgement.
