What doesn't make it much easier either is that many Ogres mercenaries tend to pick up aspects of their employer's culture. As a rule though, Ogres tend to walk on the more chaotic side of life.

But about a 100 years ago, tales told of the first Ogre to accidentally discover the recipe for gunpowder while trying to spice up his soup. From this development, it would not take long for Ogres to run about with their Cauldron-Cannons, the first improvised firearm. The Empire of Wuthing decided to take action and took the Ogre homelands in order to get the ingredients to gunpowder down. This means that Ogres are technically responsible for the development of the musket.
Ogres as a race have not been blind to these developments either, and have taken steps to go with the times. And while they could still be described as simplistic, their invention awakened something in them, a certain kind of intelligence, one that manifest in them anytime they wield anything using their work.
