Ogre Hybrid

Ogres and humans can interbreed, and their offspring often look like over-large, heavily muscled, hulking humans with gigantic hands and feet. Their heritage can take different forms, but at the most extreme, they have squarish, wide heads; wide, flat noses; beady eyes with heavy brows; and wide mouths, with under bites and small lower tusks in their lower jaws; and a complexion with a mottled green cast. Their hair is dark, their eyebrows are thick, and their ears are small and lightly pointed. Their culture and education will reveal whether their upbringing was by their human or ogre parent. They have deep voices and speak and learn languages as do standard humans. Their eyes are not necessarily ogre red, but they lack the excellent night vision and day blindness of full ogres.

Roll only once on the following chart when creating the character. The result is permanent and set, and the character will not move to higher expressions thereafter. Expression is random. A character might be a first generation hybrid and have only incidental expression, or a 10th generation twice-removed hybrid and receive full expression. It is very random.

Advantages and Disadvantages

These are cumulative per level. So, for example, a full expression set of disadvantages would include: aggressive 50%, blackout drunk 30%, cultural roots—ogre, heavy drinker 30%, itchy skin, light sensitive eyes, mistrusted 50%, poor eyesight 50%, powerful sex drive, simpleton 50%, and social disadvantage. The character may buy off disadvantages, each individually, at a cost of one advantage of the same expression level or higher. So, for example, the character could buy off the heavy drinker disadvantage by sacrificing, for example, the rugged or bash advantage.
