The Guardians of the Plains

A group of young horse shifters dreamt of visiting the Plains of Rohesia, a land inhabited almost exclusively by horses. They set out on their adventure and after facing some challenges along the way, they reach the plains. Mesmerised by the beauty and the presence of countless equine inhabitants, the shifters decide to stay for a while. While resting, they spot a herd of unicorns being chased by hunters on horseback. They quickly decide that they have to help and transform into their horse forms. However, they had depleted their Arcane Reservoir of magic and got stuck mid-transformation. Not thinking much of it, they quickly run to the unicorn's rescue. After chasing away the hunters and reuniting a young unicorn with its herd, they find that they can no longer retransform. Fearing their unsightly combination could cause issues in Ylva, they decide to make the plains their new home and become the protectors of the plains. The centaurs had been born.
