The Whale Shifters of Ylva

The whale shifters of Ylva were out in the ocean, living out their animalistic urge as whales, when a violent storm struck down. It tore them away from the shore of Keitha and left them stranded on the open ocean. Having run out of magic and transformed back into humans, they were in danger of drowning from exhaustion. So, they decided to attempt to transform themselves into whales to hopefully survive. However, the transformation halted halfway and left the whale shifters in a hybrid state. With this incident, the first hetaceans were born.
