A group of experimental students go on a trip around the continent. During this trip, they make a bet that they cannot transform a human into an animal without losing the human consciousness. When they return to their place of study, they begin experimenting. In the end, they transform themselves into animals and back. After being expelled for this unethical experimentation by their place of study, the group of students decide to exile to Keitha and form their village of Ylva, the village of Shifters.
