In the species of Lava Drakes, mutations started appearing. Within a certain lineage, the members had black scales that were hardened to withstand almost any form of heat. Soon they branched off as a new species, the Magma Drakes. They are the only drake that is capable of withstanding the unimaginable heat of the Sunneva River, which is where they live.
